A challenge was issued by Anne (teeseluvs2scrap on the Cricut mb) to design an original 'mesh' using any cartridge you like. The only stipulation was that it had to be ORIGINAL. After spending 3 days on a very intricate swirly design I was very upset when the file became corrupt and I lost all that work :(
I let the challenge go for a few days and thought "no this will not beat me" and I came up with this one.
I haven't cut it out yet, when I do I will add a pic of the final project :) Can you see the not so hidden Mickey?

Craft Room Sneak Peek #3
Here are the storage unit I have chosen for my all papers, I have two of these. Yes I have way too much paper. Did I just say that out loud LOL.
They are from http://www.bestscrapbookshelf.com/?action=view_catalog&Join_ID=106418 (Us distributor) I got mine from the Australian distributor, http://scrapbooking.arnolds.net.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=193&osCsid=88akoc4ok8egv7tgbs400555p6 They have great service and Karen is a great person to deal with.
I will have my two units set up to hold all my papers, but there are drawers available in 1", 2" and 3.5" depths. Which you can also add the drawer inserts, great for all those small embellishments and the like.
Close up
Guess how many of these little suckers I need to use in the the two units, 696 of them and they just don't slip in, no! I need to gently persuade them in with the hammer :)
I finally got the second unit together. I might have to start filling it up SOON :) As always Mutley had to get in the picture. But isn't she cute, yes Mutley is a girl, with a boys name.

Note on Gadget covers
I have had a few enquiries about the covers and would like to address them here.
*The fabrics in the slide show are no longer available, as the store I usually get my fabrics from is still closed due to the flood in February.
*Yes, you can send your own fabrics if you have a fabric you wish for me to make the covers from. Otherwise I will source out the fabrics for you. If you choose to send your own fabrics you can and the price will be adjusted accordingly. Please be aware that I live in Australia and you will be paying for the shipping of the fabrics to me. :{
*When making an order I will need you to do the following:
***Choose two colours schemes (one for each side)
***Choose pattern type (abstract, floral, stripes, spots .....)
***Choose your wording

New embroidery machine for me :)
Well after a hard think about it, OK one days think. I decided to invest in a new embroidery machine. Had to work a bit on Hubby to convince him that I really needed it. It should be here on Thurday.
It is a Janome MB-4, 4 needle embroidery machine, so no more changing the thread after every colour, and faster embroidery time, which means I can do more covers, yay.
It is very similar to the industrial Tajima machines we use at the embroidery shop I work for.
It has lots features, you know all the bells and whistles. The big seller was the $4000 worth of bonus goodies that came with it. A design software suite, and image design disc, chock full of designs and lots more.
I will be able to plug my laptop into it and transfer designs straight from the laptop. Although the machine weighs 20+ kilos, I will be able to take it to craft fairs and do while you wait embroidery.

Craft Room sneak peek #2
Here is another storage system I am adding to the room, there will be two of these. They are meant to have backs in them, but I want the wall colour to show through the holes, so I have left the back off and added some stabilizing brackets.
